General services in Bocas del Toro: What will I find in Town?

Located along the Caribbean coast in the country's northwestern part, Bocas del Toro is known for its beautiful islands and laid-back vibe. Colon Island is the main island on which Bocas Town is located.

General services in Bocas del Toro: In our town, you will find hotels, restaurants, shopping centers, a new hospital, post office, police and fireman station, municipality services, churches, grocery stores, dentists, pet shop, gyms, yoga workout, boat sell/repair shop, furniture stores, drug stores, hostels, internet express services, travel agencies, transport, international airport, art gallery, etc… Internet coverage is available almost everywhere in the Bocas archipelagos. The water-taxi company PanaBocas Express S.A offers trips every 30 minutes between Bocas and Almirante. It takes 25 minutes to reach Almirante, departing every half-hour from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. They also offer trips to Loma Partida (20 minutes from Bocas) and Chiriqui Grande (40 minutes from Bocas), where you can catch a bus to David.

The Bocas del Toro "Isla Colón" International Airport is a public airport situated 1.5 kilometers (1 mile) northwest of the Bocas del Toro town center on Isla Colón. It is also known as the José Ezequiel Hall International Airport. The airport is operational daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM and has a control tower and runway lights. The runway is east-west and can accommodate business jets such as Bombardier Global Express, Gulfstream, and Dassault Falcon. The largest scheduled plane that can land at the airport is Air Panama Fokker 50.
