In 1994, Remy moved to Costa Rica, captivated by its sunny climate, natural beauty, and tropical lifestyle. His experience in buying, selling, and renting properties gave him deep knowledge of the real estate business. In the early 2000s, he founded Osa Tropical Properties, a family-owned agency that is now managed by his son.
Years later, Remy discovered Bocas del Toro in Panama and was charmed by its crystal-clear waters, friendly community, and affordable Caribbean lifestyle. Inspired, he expanded his real estate ventures there, bringing his expertise from Costa Rica to help clients navigate buying, selling, and relocating with ease. He now warmly welcomes new clients to experience the beauty and lifestyle of the Bocas archipelago.
Lic Carlos G. Suncin Sarmiento

Carlos is a seasoned attorney with a strong background in real estate, agrarian, civil, commercial, and criminal law, complemented by expertise in mediation, conciliation, labor relations, and human rights. He holds a Bachelor’s in Law and Political Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Chiriquí (2008) and multiple advanced degrees, including Master’s studies in criminal law, the accusatory criminal system, and an ongoing Master’s in Civil Procedural Law (UMECIT, 2025). He also holds certifications in labor procedure and women’s human rights.
His professional journey includes roles as a trial lawyer, a government lawyer at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, and a public notary in Bocas del Toro. Since 2019, Carlos has been with ARAUZ & SUNCIN, where he combines his legal practice with real estate services.
Known for his professionalism, integrity, and broad skill set, Carlos handles every aspect of real estate transactions, corporation and foundation registrations, and title acquisition for Right of Possession (ROP) properties. He also supports clients with the migration process and relocation to Panama, ensuring a seamless and secure transition.
